About the Blogger

Originally from Nova Scotia, Kendra Matheson plans to divide her teaching career between developing countries and developing communities in Canada. Her current research interest is intrinsic motivation in upper elementary mathematics classrooms, how to create students who yearn for mastery and conceptual understanding.  In her spare time, she enjoys painting, looking for fossils, and writing songs about science.
